Map Work for class XII 2008
It is not necessary to learn all the map items. Only a few of them are asked. I will talk about it later.
For practical book these are the instructions:
1. Try to make the file more visual than just a scrible note book.
2. If you are writing something about a topic try to give one example of it. The example may be a picture cutting, sample, or an excersise of stats or diagram or map.
3. The examples are generally shown on the drawing sheet on the same page. If the ruled sheet is on the right then the diagram must appear on the left drawing sheet.
4. Make two files. One for the practicals and another for the survey which can be a soft sprial folder.
5. Most important than making file book is how much you have understood about the practicals. There are some catch points such as the pie diagram starts from 12 o clock and the highest to lowest variables are shown in decreasing order. Data called Others is shown in the last.
Discover Geography is about wonderful world, fascinating places, Interesting people, Amazing cultures And geography. It helps in exploring places essential to understand in globally connected world. It give you the power of world knowledge. Lets begin the adventure of lifetime with me.

CI F X d= x-24.5 fd
0-7 5 3.5 -21 -105
7 14 3 10.5 -14 -42

32 112
X = 24.5 + 112/32
= 28
its difficult to write to you using this method. we can interact more at http://exploringgeography.wikispaces.com
You can send me your e-mail id so that i can give you access to the wiki.
1. U & fu are not required if you are calculating through indirect method. It is used when we do shortcut method.
2. You have to count the dots in the map as per the data. Without correct nos. of dots the map becomes redundant.
3. Flow chart is used to show any type of movement such as movement of goods, water, buses, trains, people, etc.
4. It is drawn by using scale method. Suppose between A and B stations 25 trains move and the scale being 1cm=20trains then draw a line which have width of 1.25cm (1mm = 2trains and 25trains = 1.25cm) between stations A and B.
5. Prepare basics first. You should know how you have drawn/calculated any diagram/map or stats. After it learn all the definitions, uses, merits or demerits from each topic.
